Position Overview:
The University of Minnesota is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Nursing Faculty Member within the School of Nursing. This position is integral to our academic community, focusing on the development and delivery of high-quality education in nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

Faculty members are expected to:

  • Exhibit excellence in teaching across various nursing programs.
  • Engage in scholarly activities that contribute to the field of nursing.
  • Participate actively in community service and professional governance.
  • Incorporate clinical practice into educational frameworks as appropriate.
  • Take on leadership roles within clinical settings or advanced practice specialty areas.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Doctorate in nursing or a related field (DNP, PhD, or equivalent).
  • For nursing applicants, valid RN licensure is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of teaching effectiveness and scholarly contributions.

Preferred:

  • Doctorate specifically in nursing.
  • Recognition in a defined area of scholarship.
  • At least one year of teaching and mentoring experience.
  • Professional certification as an advanced practice nurse.
