Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night Custodian to join our team at Lincoln Public Schools. As a Night Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking of facilities
  • Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Assist with snow removal and other outdoor tasks as needed
  • Ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors by reporting any hazards or incidents
  • Collaborate with other custodial staff to achieve cleaning and maintenance goals
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of custodial experience in a public or private building preferred
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly and carry heavy objects up and down stairs
  • Practical working knowledge of good housekeeping practices and procedures
Working Conditions

This is a 12-month contract position, working Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
