The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is a healthcare professional who assists in the performance of cardiac and vascular procedures under the direction of a qualified physician. This role requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart disease.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and review baseline patient assessments to evaluate patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuvers and medications during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
- Provide patient care and drug administration commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as requested and under the direction of a qualified physician.
- Act as a first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- A graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
- One year related experience required.
- ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
- RCIS Certification Required.
