Job Summary

Linden Square Assisted Living Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all resident apartments, common areas, and bathrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, washing windows, and polishing chrome and brass.
  • Laundry Services: Collect, sort, and launder resident personal items, including bed linens, towels, and clothing, following manufacturer's instructions and ensuring proper storage and handling.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, washing machines, and steam irons, and maintain them in good working condition.
  • Supply Management: Properly store and manage cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are readily available and easily accessible.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and supervisors, and work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude towards residents, colleagues, and the community.
  • Physical Abilities: Be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and follow instructions in English.
  • Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, housekeeping, or laundry services is preferred, but not essential.
