Job Summary

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a structural focus to join our New York City office. As a key member of our team, you will participate in the conceptual development and design of waterfront structural projects, perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete and steel structures, and analyze static and dynamic loading on laterally performing structures.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the conceptual development and design of waterfront structural projects
  • Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete and steel structures
  • Analyze static and dynamic loading on laterally performing structures including the impact of soil-structure interaction
  • Develop finite element models of marine structures using SAP2000 and Xtract
  • Prepare calculations and document design information for completed designs
  • Coordinate structural detail development with engineers and drafting technicians
  • Perform site inspections and condition assessments of existing structures
  • Obtain hands-on experience by performing field inspections for construction projects you have participated in during design
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis required and 2 to 4 years of structural experience
  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis and entry to 4 years of experience
  • Engineer In Training certification
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or comparable drafting platform is required
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or comparable equivalent is required
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $76,743 to $93,797 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualifications in the job description.
