We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at H-E-B Wellness Primary Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and providing a unique patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Perform patient intake interviews, take medical histories, check and record vital signs, and assist physicians with exams and other medical procedures.
- Administrative Support: Assist with check-in process, process transactions, and maintain clinic calendar and scheduling.
- Customer Service: Welcome patients warmly and professionally, provide a caring environment, and respond to all requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communication: Facilitate coordination of patient care, serve as a resource to patients, and assist with patient referral process.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, and graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Certifications: Medical Assistant certification (CMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the America Heart Association.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in office, clerical, or medical work, preferably as a medical assistant, admissions representative, or clinic support.
- Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, proficiency in MS Office, and advanced interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
