Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement curriculum for the Medical Assistant program, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of instructors, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality instruction and student outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Education Department to review and revise curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and effective.
- Assist with the orientation of new hires and provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition.
- Participate in faculty meetings, advisory board meetings, and other campus and professional development opportunities.
- Complete required documentation for individual student files, attendance, and incident reports.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or a graduate of an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in Medical Assisting or training from an institution located outside of the United States and its territories in Medical Assisting or a minimum of three(3) years of job-related training and experience for instructors who are not graduates from an accredited program in the field in which they teach.
- Three (3) years of full-time occupational (i.e., practical) experience in a healthcare facility, including a minimum of 40 hours in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
- Classroom teaching experience.
- Current, unencumbered registration or certification through a nationally recognized and accredited certifying agency (CMA or RMA).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
- Leadership experience in a healthcare education setting.
