About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Registered Nurse on our Neuro Adult Psych Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care through the application of the nursing process, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of patients.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet the needs of patients and the team.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • One year of experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, with a strong understanding of the principles of nursing care in this specialty.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues and patients.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay current with best practices in nursing care.
