Role Summary
As a valued member of the AnovaWorks team, the Medical Assistant will warmly welcome patients and company representatives, ensuring efficient service delivery. This role supports the provision of top-notch occupational health services under the guidance of medical or nursing professionals at AnovaWorks clinics, facilitating the seamless operation of clinical services for our clientele.
Core Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and prompt demeanor
- Coordinate services, healthcare providers, and staff to ensure effective patient care
- Schedule appointments and necessary testing for patients
- Prepare patient records and essential documentation
- Accurately input and maintain patient information in the electronic system
- Deliver a variety of occupational health services, including testing, vaccinations, and specimen collection
- Organize lab tests and procedures as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of examination rooms
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Relevant certifications such as Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) Certification and NIOSH Spirometry Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
