As a Hospice Aide at UnityPoint Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering services to patients according to individualized care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Utilizing equipment and supplies safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Providing holistic care, considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, and safety criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Communicating effectively with patients, caregivers, and other hospice staff.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant Training Program of a minimum of 75 hours with no continuous period of 24 months without compensation for Home Care Aide/CNA work since completion.
- High School diploma or GED, preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- 2-5 years hospice experience in a nursing or hospice facility, preferred.
