POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electronic Component Repair Specialist is skilled in the restoration of electronic assemblies through the replacement and soldering of components, wiring, and overall assembly tasks. This role necessitates the use of precision hand tools, soldering equipment, and the capability to adhere to detailed disposition records. Additionally, this position involves maintaining accurate records and may require basic data entry, along with collaboration with stockroom personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to Military standards and ISO protocols
- Rework returned units down to the component level
- Ensure that completed products meet quality assurance standards
- Install jumpers, components, heat sinks, and other necessary items to prepare units for testing
QUALIFICATIONS:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with electronic components and assemblies
- Soldering certification: IPC 610 – Class 3 preferred; Class 2 is acceptable, but anything below Class 2 is not qualified
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential
