Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary seeks a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, assessing nutrition needs, and developing personalized care plans.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Screen patients for nutrition problems and assess their nutritional needs
- Plan and implement medical nutrition therapy, including enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Counsel patients on modified diets and provide education on nutrition and health
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement nutrition care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in dietetics, foods, nutrition, or institutional management from an accredited college
- Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensure by the West Virginia Board of Licensed Dietitians
- Knowledge of theory and practice of diets, menu planning, and patient counseling
