SAIC is in search of a Systems Engineer to deliver Class Desk support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) initiatives within PMA 299, specifically for the H-60 Multi-Mission helicopter Program Office at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). This role allows for a hybrid work arrangement, requiring onsite presence a few days each week.

The selected candidate will provide engineering assistance to multiple FMS teams while directly supporting the FMS Class Desk APMSE and associated teams. Responsibilities will include interfacing with various teams and offering technical guidance to enhance overall team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute technical insights in the formulation and evaluation of engineering documents (e.g., SOW, CDRL, technical proposals) ensuring they meet the defined requirements of the FMS Case.
  • Facilitate SETR events with contractors as directed by the APMSE.
  • Organize meetings that necessitate participation from contractors and/or the domestic PMA team.
  • Engage in PMRs, technical reviews, and other significant program activities as required.
  • Review and analyze specifications and data packages, providing technical recommendations on ECPs and Technical Directives.
  • Support communication across all stakeholders including PMA IPTs, FMS, USN, and contractors.
  • Maintain schedules or action trackers as specified by the APMSE.
  • International travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific field, along with nine (9) years of relevant Systems Engineering experience. Alternatively, four (4) additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Capability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
  • Experience in supporting foreign military sales (FMS) or engineering leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR's Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes, and Airworthiness/Cybersafe protocols.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience in Systems Engineering APMSE support is preferred.
  • DAWIA Systems Engineering certification is a plus.
