Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Associated Wholesale Grocers. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, as well as troubleshooting and diagnosing complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including electrical and mechanical problems
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs and maintenance tasks
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
- CDL license a plus, but not required
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
