Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for a prominent role within a leading exploration and production company in the oil and gas sector. This position is based at a strategic terminal, where you will oversee a dedicated team of Mechanical technicians engaged in essential maintenance and project work on various Mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the Mechanical Maintenance operations, ensuring optimal performance of Mechanical equipment.
  • Facilitate effective communication of maintenance tasks to technicians, ensuring thorough risk assessments and control measures are in place.
  • Adhere to the site's safety management system, including the timely submission of necessary work permits and associated risk evaluations.
  • Diagnose and address Mechanical equipment failures, implementing repairs to meet site standards and coordinating with technical experts as required.
  • Monitor and enhance performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the strategic planning and execution of maintenance shutdowns and major operational turnarounds.
  • Develop and maintain Task Risk Assessment Checklists (TRAC).
  • Supervise and mentor Mechanical Technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Possess a minimum ONC or NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in a maintenance capacity within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven supervisory experience is essential.
  • Valid UK driving license is required for operating company vehicles.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in conducting Risk Assessments and familiarity with the ISSoW system is necessary.
