Job Summary

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and committed to creating a positive learning environment. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for teaching one or more semesters of Sign Language courses, based on the needs of the academic school.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Sign Language courses to students at the community college level
  • Mentor and advise students in the field of Sign Language
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback

Requirements

  • Master's Degree with Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) certification
  • 3 years of teaching experience in Sign Language, or equivalent experience
  • Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college
