Job Summary

The Room Attendant is a key member of the housekeeping team at Highgate Hotels, responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing exceptional service to all guests.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to Highgate Hotels' standards, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including setting up the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies and linens.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways, and restock the housekeeping cart for the next day's use.
  • Keep all hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  • Replenish chemical bottles and report any maintenance repairs immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to Highgate Hotels' standards.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction by providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of employees and guests.

Compensation

Salary: $18.65 per hour
