Medical Equipment Specialist

Ladgov Corporation seeks a skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team.
About the JobThis full-time position is based in Shiprock, NM, with an estimated salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing and maintaining aseptic techniques and sterilization methods in accordance with AAMI, Federal regulations, and AORN standards.
- Selecting and wrapping supplies to prevent breakthroughs, dating and labeling packages upon completion.
- Maintaining the sterility of supply indicators, rotating stock by disposing or reprocessing contaminated or outdated sterile goods, and ensuring proper storage and transport of sterile goods.
- Performing daily and/or load biological testing of sterilizers, recording results, and notifying the charge Nurse/Nurse Manager of any contaminated loads.
- Demonstrating knowledge of asepsis and sterilization methods, as well as basic medical and surgical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Operating and troubleshooting equipment used for sterile processes and completing required documentation.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A minimum of twenty-four (24) months relevant experience within the last thirty-six (36) months.
- The ability to read, understand, speak, and write English effectively, as well as demonstrate respect for local, American Indian, and Alaska Native cultures.
Candidates must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
