About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VAVE Project Leader to join our team at Kohler. As a key member of our Purchasing department, you will play a critical role in driving value analysis and value engineering initiatives across our supply base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Strategic Sourcing Efforts: Develop and implement a structured approach to identify, drive, and progress value analysis and value engineering initiatives in the supply base.
  • Manage Relationships: Foster strong relationships with global category leaders, vendor relationship managers, engineering, marketing, and sourcing directors to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Identify and Prioritize Opportunities: Analyze spend categories and vendors to prioritize initiatives and drive savings ideations.
  • Develop and Implement Programs: Create a structured program of engagements with vendors to drive value analysis and value engineering initiatives.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Maintain data on savings initiatives and outputs, and use it to drive resolution and completion.
  • Collaborate with Category Leaders: Work with category leaders to ensure alignment of approach, pace, and delivery.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Maintain a working knowledge of world-class manufacturing and supply processes to ensure that existing methods are targeted to attain excellence versus industry benchmarks.
  • Research and Implement Best Practices: Research outside sources for best practice to be incorporated into current and/or future product design.
  • Manage Sourcing-Related Risks: Manage sourcing-related risks from any activity in a professional and inclusive manner.
  • Lead VAVE Meetings: Lead VAVE meetings with Marketing, Program Management, Engineering, etc. to reach consensus on sourcing and product strategy.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum seven years of professional experience, with five years of purchasing or project management experience.
  • Industry Background: Consumer Goods, Formulation, Fragrance, or Packaging industry background is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Previous SAP experience is desirable.
  • Travel: In-region travel is approximately 40%.
