- This faculty position is a tenure-track opportunity in the Nephrology Division at the University of Minnesota. The successful candidate will join our basic science program and focus on pharmacogenomics research.">
- The role combines lab and clinical work, partnering with the College of Pharmacy to identify mechanisms of native and allograft kidney loss and develop new drug targets for therapeutic intervention and diagnostic biomarkers.">
Responsibilities

- Develop an extramurally funded research program to investigate mechanisms of viral persistence in tissue reservoirs of HIV infection.">
- Collaborate with the Medical School's Department of Medicine's Nephrology Division and the College of Pharmacy to create new clinical cohorts for pharmacogenomics, biomarkers, and drug target discovery.">
- Train future scientists and pharmacy students in pharmacogenomics research methods.">
Qualifications
">- ">
- PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field.">
- Postdoctoral research experience in laboratory-based preclinical and translational research relevant to pharmacogenomics.">
- A record of external research funding.">
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.">
