About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Oceans Behavioral Hospital Amarillo. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting long-term wellness through evidence-based therapies and treatment options.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assume primary leadership accountability and responsibility for milieu management and directing patient care activities of other nursing staff. You will assess patients using the nursing process to formulate individualized plans of care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes consistent with facility policy and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation to develop individualized plans of care and treatment modalities.
  • Identify risk levels, precautions, and expected outcomes for each client, including discharge planning, and prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of clients from admission to discharge and initiate medical/psychiatric crisis intervention to stabilize and ensure the well-being of patients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed safely, provide education on prescribed medications, and recognize signs and symptoms of adverse drug reactions.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and responsibility for decision-making, quality nursing care, and knowledge base of psychiatric nursing care.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience, depending on qualifications and location.
