Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of goods and services necessary for the operation of the business unit of the assigned project. This role requires a strong drive to meet deadlines and the ability to manage multiple processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Process Management
    • Manage the contracting process for corporate business owners in alignment with company strategic and financial objectives to drive cost reduction.
    • Ensure timely completion of assigned contracts and report on contracts coming due.
  • Assist with Project Management
    • Procure, source, and assist in managing projects of other Indirect Procurement team members as needed.
  • RFP/RFQ Data Management Assistance
    • Gather documentation and data sources to facilitate Request for Bids and Request for Contracts and evaluate bids and contracts.
  • Business Case Data Assistance
    • Provide daily or weekly spend analytics and market research intelligence to develop business cases using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Net Present Value (NPV) concepts to deliver measurable cost savings.
  • Internal Business Team Support
    • Provide data and recommendations to ensure informed selection decisions.
    • Develop and administer agreements and statements of work in collaboration with business and legal departments.
  • Vendor Accounting and A/P Support
    • Work with accounting entities to manage payment terms and ensure open communication with new vendor set-up and vendor information changes.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience
    • 2-4 years in procurement and/or contracting.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Excellent analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational, multi-tasking/planning, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently under limited supervision with attention to detail, accuracy, documentation, and follow-through.
    • Ability to manage financial data in a confidential and professional manner.
    • Effective negotiation skills and understanding of procurement processes and supplier relationship management.
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong financial acumen.
    • Proficiency in SAP and Coupa is a plus.
