Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Warehouse Associate to join our team at Love's Travel Stops & Country Store. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, including physically moving inventory items weighing over 75 pounds
  • Receive and stock merchandise using handheld scanners with a high degree of accuracy
  • Operate powered industry vehicles (Forklifts, Man-up Order Selectors, and Floor Scrubbers) in a safe manner
  • Maintain integrity of products through proper handling and storage
  • Process orders via paper and handheld scanners
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts
  • Perform routine facilities maintenance and/or housekeeping tasks
  • Ensure facility and company assets are properly secured and maintained to ensure operational readiness
  • Maintain personal grooming and company uniform standards
  • Maintain company attendance standards
  • Execute company policies, procedures, and programs in a professional, effective, and timely manner
Requirements
  • Ability to learn and operate all facility equipment, including computers, forklifts, and retreading machinery
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Perform basic arithmetic functions: add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic
  • Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and working from elevated surfaces
  • Frequently lift and/or move over 75 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision

Work Environment

While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. Occasionally, the employee will also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, etc.
