Overview of Department & Mentor

Cedars-Sinai's Department of Neurology is a leading center for stroke research and treatment. Our team of experts is dedicated to developing new approaches to stroke diagnosis and treatment. As a research intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our team of researchers and clinicians to gain hands-on experience in clinical research.

Role Summary & Objectives

This internship will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to clinical research, including human subject's protection, HIPAA, research compliance, and IRB review. You will learn the importance of chart review, data entry, manuscript writing, and data analysis. You will also gain knowledge of stroke pathophysiology, brain imaging, and neuroanatomy.

Role Activities & Timeline

As a research intern, you will participate in a variety of activities, including:

  • Literature review and chart review
  • Data entry and statistical analysis
  • Manuscript writing and presentation skills
  • Project development and critical thinking

Throughout your internship, you will receive mentorship and guidance from our team of researchers and clinicians. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment that offers the highest level of care to patients.

Qualifications
