About the Opportunity

The University of Georgia seeks a dedicated individual to join its esteemed faculty as an Assistant Professor of English in Game Studies and Design. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to the development of students who are shaping the future of interactive storytelling and digital media.

**Job Summary**
This full-time tenure-track position will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing curriculum, and engaging in research that promotes innovation and creativity in game studies and design. The successful candidate will have a strong background in English, game design, or a related field, and demonstrate excellent teaching and communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Teach courses in game studies, game design, and interactive storytelling
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum that integrates game studies with English literature and culture
- Engage in scholarly research and publication on topics related to game studies and design
- Mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
- Participate in departmental and university service

**Requirements:**
- Ph.D. in English, Game Studies, or a related field
- Strong background in game design and interactive storytelling
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Ability to develop and teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

**Salary Range:** $90,000 - $120,000 per year
