Position Summary

The Event Bartending Specialist is tasked with promptly and courteously addressing guest requests for beverages while adhering to Cescaphe standards. This role includes overseeing the service of alcoholic beverages, ensuring that intoxicated or underage guests are not served, but rather offered suitable alternatives. A high level of organization, cleanliness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional setting are essential.

As we host numerous formal and black-tie events, our bartenders are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and apply proper bartending techniques. Each team member is encouraged to assist wherever necessary during events to guarantee seamless execution. The Event Bartending Specialist may also take on additional responsibilities as needed to meet business demands. Collaboration with Event Managers, General Managers, and other front-of-house staff is crucial for the success of events across all Cescaphe venues. There is also the opportunity for cross-training into banquet serving roles for those interested, with prior catering or banquet serving experience being advantageous.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Product Management
  • Identifies bar-related items from event documentation.
  • Conducts regular pour and taste tests to ensure drink quality and adherence to standards.
  • Maintains freshness and rotation of products using a first-in, first-out system.
  • Completes setup and breakdown tasks as assigned by the Head Bartender.
  • Follows all cleaning protocols as directed by the Head Bartender.
Inventory Control
  • Maintains an organized storage system for easy restocking of products.
  • Reports product shortages to the Head Bartender promptly.
  • Monitors guest consumption to ensure timely restocking.
Customer Service Excellence
  • Greets all guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Offers product suggestions and alternatives when items are unavailable.
  • Monitors guest consumption to prevent over-serving.
  • Ensures cleanliness and restocking of service areas throughout events.
Team Collaboration
  • Establishes effective relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Participates actively in team meetings and discussions.
  • Demonstrates respect and courtesy towards all team members.
Professional Standards
  • Adheres to the company’s mission and core values consistently.
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully in both written and verbal forms.
  • Arrives on time for shifts and ensures coverage when absent.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:

Education: High school diploma or GED

Certificates/Licenses: RAMP Certificate required within 90 days of hire

Work Experience: Preferred minimum of 2 years in professional banquet bartending, with catering experience being a plus.

Desired Skills: Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential.

Commitment to a drug-free workplace is required.
