Fabricator - Multi-Skilled - 2nd Shift

GKN Aerospace is a leader in the aerospace industry, and we're looking for a skilled Fabricator to join our team. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for carrying out standard activities in full compliance with Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using pneumatic tools to assemble parts, and will be expected to attain certification through a rigorous Job Instruction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by following all GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
- Undertake tasks in compliance with standard work and training, and report any problems to your Team Leader.
- Exemplify a safety-first mindset and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the team in problem-solving and contribute ideas based on your experience.
- Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5-7+ years of experience in manufacturing and assembly.
- 2 years of experience using pneumatic tools for assembly of parts.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident) per program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GKN Experience.
- Experience with assembly in the aerospace industry.
- Line assembly experience is a plus.
- Ability to work as a team player and independently.
- Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting or safety, quality, and technical issues.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $22-30 per hour. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
