Overview
As an essential part of our workforce, the Tire Maintenance Specialist will undertake the assessment, repair, installation, and replacement of tires on various vehicles, including cars, trucks, and fleet units. This role is crucial in ensuring that tires are dependable and function harmoniously with other vehicle systems. Success in this position requires collaboration with mechanics and fellow team members to deliver high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to roadside assistance requests related to tire issues, prioritizing safety and minimizing vehicle downtime.
  • Execute tire mounting and balancing tasks to enhance vehicle safety and performance.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal tire pressure to extend tire lifespan.
  • Conduct regular tire evaluations and gather data to analyze tire durability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with inflation standards and operational procedures across all locations.
  • Organize and allocate road and fleet service tasks efficiently.
  • Oversee tire inventory management and cost control, ensuring sufficient stock levels and conducting routine audits for accuracy.
  • Adhere to company standards in all tire-related functions and communications.
  • Verify that all suppliers meet required standards.
  • Ensure compliance with D.O.T. regulations and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Carry out routine and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment meet D.O.T. and company standards.
Work Schedule

This is a full-time role with variable hours depending on operational needs. Remote work is not an option. Availability is required six days a week (Monday to Saturday), with the possibility of overtime as necessary.
Compensation: $18.00-$21.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Valid unrestricted California Driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
