Aviation Captain

Aero-Flite, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain IA to join our RJ85 air tanker pilot team. As a key member of our aerial firefighting team, you will be responsible for the safe operation and management of our aircraft, as well as the safety of all personnel on board during flight time.

• Operate and manage the RJ85 air tanker aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement effective strategies for wildfire suppression missions.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve mission objectives.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of the aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest aviation technologies and techniques.

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot License.
• Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
• Valid Class 2 (or 1) Medical certificate.
• At least 4000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.
• At least 2000 hours of PIC multi-engine experience.
• At least 500 hours of experience in forest fire flying environments.
• At least 100 hours of experience in the preceding 12 months.
• At least 100 hours of night flying experience.
• At least 500 hours of PIC multi-engine experience over 12,500 lbs.
• At least 500 hours of PIC IFR experience.
• At least 200 hours of previous experience in a multi-crew aircraft.
• At least 200 hours of experience in mountainous terrain.

• Initial Attack Carded Air Tanker pilot certification.
• Professional aviation training and specialized aircraft courses.
• Simulator and CRM training.
• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• Human Factors/Safety Management education.
• Two years of experience as a Federal or State Carded air tanker pilot.
