Position Overview
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will leverage your nursing expertise in a dynamic role that extends beyond traditional patient care. This position emphasizes collaboration with healthcare professionals and the promotion of patient welfare through advanced medical device technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive training and educational sessions to Registered Nurses and Physicians on hemodynamic devices, particularly in critical care and oncology settings.
- Focus exclusively on education and in-servicing, with no sales or bedside responsibilities.
- Travel regionally and nationally to fulfill client educational needs, with a flexible schedule accommodating your current commitments.
- Engage in 1-2 assignments monthly, each lasting between 3-5 days.
Essential Duties:
- Provide peer-to-peer education and in-servicing to nursing and hospital staff to facilitate the implementation of medical devices.
- Assess specific educational needs of clients and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure a positive learning experience.
- Utilize your clinical nursing knowledge to address inquiries and resolve concerns related to medical devices.
- Deliver updates, reports, and constructive feedback to clients during and after educational assignments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
- Experience with hemodynamic devices is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years in ICU, Oncology, ER, or critical care units, with recent experience within the last 5 years.
- Leadership experience in roles such as manager, educator, or preceptor is advantageous but not required.
- Proficiency in basic software applications is necessary.
- Experience with IV pumps is preferred but not essential.
- Intermediate computer skills are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate strong professional conduct.
This role offers a flexible schedule, opportunities for travel, and the chance to expand your skills in the medical device industry while earning supplemental income.
