Job Summary

As a Regional Behavioral Health Clinical Educator at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for an assigned service or population. Your expertise will be essential in developing and delivering educational plans and programs that meet the learning needs of our patients and staff.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to identify learning needs and competencies.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans and programs using evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge.
  • Identify and develop teaching tools and instructional materials to support learning goals.
  • Keep records of educational activities and prepare reports to measure the effectiveness of educational programs.
  • Apply the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patients' age-specific needs and clinical needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Three years' registered nurse experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
