We are currently in search of a Spinal Cord Care Registered Nurse to enhance our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering patient-focused care, addressing the health, emotional, and practical needs of individuals with spinal cord injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient requirements and formulate a detailed care strategy.
- Accurately record patient information in the medical documentation system.
- Administer medications, including intravenous therapies and PICC line management.
- Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively.
- Conduct essential assessments such as vital signs monitoring, EKGs, and wound management.
- Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and provide ventilatory support.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, diagnoses, and medication regimens.
- React promptly to emergency medical situations and cardiac events.
- Supervise other nursing personnel to ensure quality care.
- Ensure patient safety through vigilant observation and care.
- Adhere to established VA guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid RN License in any state.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Spinal Cord Registered Nurse.
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Special Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Experience with ventilators is preferred.
- Ability to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance.
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift (7:30 am - 8:00 pm) and Night Shift (7:30 pm - 8:00 am), including weekends and holidays.

- Competitive salary range of $66,560 - $148,000.
