Resumen del Puesto:

Realizar la autorización previa de seguros para todos los nuevos pacientes que serán atendidos en el departamento de fisioterapia. Ejecutar tareas que permitan a los terapeutas tratar a los pacientes de acuerdo con el paquete de beneficios de su seguro.

  • Ubicación en un centro quirúrgico.
  • Tiempo Completo - 40 horas por semana.

Responsabilidades/Normas del Puesto:

  • Asistir a reuniones del departamento, clínica o empresa según sea necesario.
  • Demostrar buen juicio al tomar acciones apropiadas respecto a hallazgos o preocupaciones cuestionables.
  • Trabajar de manera positiva y cooperativa con los compañeros de trabajo.
  • Demostrar capacidad para adaptarse a situaciones cambiantes de manera flexible para satisfacer las necesidades actuales, como re-priorizar el trabajo según sea necesario.
  • Asistir a programas de capacitación anuales requeridos.
  • Demostrar conocimiento y comprensión de todas las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa.
  • Cumplir con los requisitos y procedimientos de seguridad establecidos para garantizar un entorno de trabajo seguro. Identificar situaciones potencialmente inseguras y notificar al supervisor.

Tareas Específicas

  • Atender llamadas telefónicas.
  • Verificar el sistema de programación para nuevos pacientes que requieran autorización previa de seguros.
  • Manejar correspondencia personal y confidencial, correo e informes.
  • Solicitar autorizaciones según sea necesario para los servicios a pacientes.
  • Mantener archivos de pacientes, manteniéndose al tanto de los cambios en el seguro y las necesidades de recertificación.
  • Discutir preocupaciones sobre la falta de cobertura de seguros o de red con el gerente de fisioterapia antes de notificar al paciente sobre su cobertura.
  • El personal de autorización previa también puede ser llamado a ayudar con la finalización y actualización de formularios de Compensación Laboral.
  • Realizar llamadas de confirmación a todos los nuevos pacientes programados para el día siguiente.
  • Programar citas de pacientes en la recepción de terapia cuando el personal de recepción necesite asistencia.
  • Entrenar en las responsabilidades del recepcionista médico.
  • Completar todas las tareas de autorización recibidas dentro de 5 días hábiles.

Requisitos de Educación/Experiencia:

  • Debe ser graduado de secundaria o equivalente.
  • Se prefiere formación previa en secretariado.
  • Se requieren excelentes habilidades de relaciones públicas.
  • Se requiere habilidad en computadoras personales y procesamiento de textos.
  • Se prefiere experiencia previa en oficina médica.

Requisitos Físicos:

Los requisitos físicos para el puesto incluyen la capacidad de escuchar y comunicarse oralmente con frecuencia, ver de cerca y a distancia, leer y comprender, estar de pie, sentarse, caminar, alcanzar, manejar y/o sentir objetos. Levantamiento máximo sin asistencia = 25 lbs. Levantamiento promedio hasta 10 lbs.
