Electrical Construction Specialist

As an Electrical Construction Specialist, you'll develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. Your responsibilities will include all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You'll need to read blueprints, manage electrical projects, and control costs based on project budgets. You'll also possess working knowledge of the electrical industry, including new site build, modifications deployment, and implementation, as well as some knowledge of real estate, site acquisition, and zoning. Additionally, you'll be responsible for managing and controlling costs for the financial cycle of the project, including budget control and maintenance, financial tracking, reporting, and bidding. You'll prepare the scope of work to include pricing, resources, and schedule for new and proposed projects by existing contract terms and conditions. You'll also manage site acquisition, engineering, and construction projects in compliance with established processes and policies established by the company, the client, and regulatory agencies. You'll use knowledge of customer's networks and business models to assist with determining future opportunities to deploy additional products and services. You'll conduct risk management and contingency planning, negotiation of complex or sensitive issues to a favorable resolution. You'll enforce the MasTec Network Solutions quality program and ensure that appropriate safety guidelines are followed in the performance of the work by staff and vendors and ensure that work practices meet or exceed all current company and industry standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. You'll understand, train, and enforce the company quality program, processes, and standards. You'll manage the inspection and acceptance work performed by vendors and company resources, including the quality of services, equipment, and materials, engineering documents, and other required project deliverables. You'll implement and achieve the company Zero Defect Policy. Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions.
  • Available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively.
  • Ability to work out of the market or away from home as work demands.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry minimum of 15 lbs.
