Key Responsibilities- Install and Maintain Electrical Systems: Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems in manufacturing facilities, waste water treatment plants, and other structures.
- Work with Blueprints: Work with blueprints when installing electrical systems, indicating the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment.
- Repair and Troubleshoot Electrical Systems: Maintain and repair electrical systems as quickly as possible to minimize inconvenience, replacing items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire.
- Collaborate with Engineers: May work with engineers or engineering technicians to perform the installation of various electrical systems per NEC state/local regulations and complete construction documents while maintaining the highest levels of OSHA compliance.
- Review Specifications and Blueprints: Review specifications, blueprints, and job scope for technical accuracy.
- Perform Electrical Testing and Monitoring: Perform electrical testing and monitoring of systems and make recommendations for improvement/repair.
- Technical Ability: Technical and mechanical skills necessary to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams, then install or service various electrical systems.
- Physical Fitness and Dexterity: Physical fitness and dexterity required for climbing ladders, working in small and confined spaces, or carrying equipment and materials to and around the project site.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code: Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
- Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented with a keen eye for detail in following safety standards and project designs, as well as the execution of the project itself.
- Independence: Ability to work on assigned tasks by yourself with very little help.
- Reliability and Responsibility: Reliability and responsibility to show up on time and produce consistent, quality work.
