Job Summary:

As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist at Caldwell County Schools, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual who can install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, as well as perform routine maintenance on cafeteria equipment. Key Responsibilities:

• Install new electrical wiring or replacement wiring consistent with specifications, state, and local electrical codes.
• Perform necessary repairs of all district-owned electrical equipment in conjunction with all fire, electrical, and safety reports and maintaining all documentation related.
• Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Install and maintain all electrical equipment.
• Test circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.

Requirements:

• A state electrical license is required.
• Must have and maintain a valid NC driver's license.
• Must be a high school graduate or GED Certificate.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
