About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Service Technician to join our team at GE Appliances. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of satisfaction with our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-home appliance repairs and maintenance to protect, repair, and replace appliances.
  • Promote and sell GE Appliances service contracts, water filters, and other products to customers.
  • Operate assigned service vans to repair locations and manage maintenance and stock inventory.
  • Record all activities related to repairs, routes, and other activities to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Attend trainings, meetings, and other events to expand and remain a knowledgeable expert in the repair industry.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • 1+ years of experience with appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with some Saturdays as needed.
  • Valid state driver's license and successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ months of experience with Refrigeration repair.
  • CFC Certified.
  • Certification in appliance repair or Associates' degree preferred.
