Position Overview:

This position plays a crucial role in managing and executing maintenance activities while providing timely responses to inquiries from guests and staff.

Collaborating closely with the hospitality team, the Maintenance Technician helps maintain a safe and inviting atmosphere for all visitors.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time hourly position within the hospitality sector, offering a competitive wage range of $18 to $25 per hour, with biweekly pay. Additionally, team members at Staybridge Suites Omaha West enjoy hotel discounts and a hiring bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry duties
  • Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas and storage
  • Inspect guest rooms and common areas for maintenance issues, taking immediate action or reporting concerns
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies
  • Assist with special projects and renovations as needed
  • Follow company and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hospitality setting
  • Skilled in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting/moving of up to 75 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Successful completion of a background check
