Job Summary

The Doubletree Omaha is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on building equipment, including HVAC, wiring, and lighting.
  • Repair or replace broken or defective parts and fixtures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services on all systems and equipment, and identify and correct defective or damaged systems.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
  • Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal, including lawn care, painting, and gardening.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Desired experience in hotel maintenance.
  • Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC mechanical, and carpentry.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for the operation and repair of hotel equipment.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, including guests and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for the duration of shift.
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions and be able to stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb on all types of surfaces.
