Medication Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Quail Park of West Seattle. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medication and maintaining accurate medication records.
Responsibilities- Administer medication to residents in accordance with physician orders and community policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records, including medication administration records (MARs) and medication logs
- Conduct regular audits to ensure medication accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless medication management and resident care
- Assist with resident care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as needed
- Engage residents in meaningful conversation and socialization while providing medication supervision assistance and personal care assistance
- Report any changes in resident condition, unusual symptoms, or accidents to the licensed nurse and/or supervisor
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting
- Ability to take blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and O2 Sat or ability to learn
- Experience reading medical terminology preferred
- Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members
- Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other team members
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
- Ability to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
- Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
- Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials
- Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials
- Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must successfully complete required Medication Technician curriculum
- Subject to pre-employment screening, including TB testing and criminal background check
