Position Overview:


The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care to residents, addressing their personal care needs and ensuring comfort. Responsibilities include assisting with daily hygiene tasks such as oral care, bathing, grooming, and overall personal appearance.

Additionally, the CNA is responsible for meeting residents' bowel and bladder requirements in accordance with established care standards. The role also involves supporting residents with their nutritional needs through various activities.

Activity Support:
The CNA assists with residents' mobility and activity requirements, which may include ambulation, lifting, and repositioning. Adherence to infection control protocols and procedures is essential. The role requires treating all residents, visitors, and staff with respect and courtesy. The CNA will accept and manage assignments as directed by licensed nursing personnel, demonstrating a clear understanding of Resident Rights and promptly reporting any resident concerns to the appropriate nursing staff. Ensuring that residents' requests are addressed in a timely manner is a key responsibility.

Core Competencies:
The position requires consistent application of CNA skills, including but not limited to monitoring vital signs, providing foley care, collecting specimens, and utilizing lifts and other equipment safely. The CNA must maintain up-to-date knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of CNA practice. Reliability and attendance are critical to enhancing team effectiveness, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate initiative.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Current certification as a CNA in Arkansas is mandatory. Experience in long-term care settings is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. A genuine enthusiasm for working with elderly individuals is highly valued.

This position will involve a commitment of 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
