About the Job

Cottage Lane Health and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care and services to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with daily care activities, such as toileting, feeding, and transferring.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, and moving patients, as well as positioning and transporting them to and from appointments and activities.
  • Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for patient care, including infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Document patient care activities and observations in the patient's medical record.
  • Assist with preparing patients for meals, serving food trays, and performing after-meal care.
  • Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain current certification and enhance skills.
Requirements
  • Must be an Arkansas licensed Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such.
  • Must possess the ability to deal patiently, tactfully, with a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
Working Conditions

This position requires working throughout the nursing service area, including drug rooms, nurses' stations, and patient rooms. The CNA will be subject to frequent interruptions by patients, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and will be required to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays, in other positions, and in call-back situations.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

The CNA must be able to move intermittently throughout the work area, speak and write the English language in an understandable manner, and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position due to relating to and working with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile patients, family members, personnel, and visitors.
