Database Engineer Job Description

This is a critical role that requires a skilled Database Engineer to design, develop, and administer databases that support analytics and runtime applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with database systems, cloud-based database development, and integration with stateful IVR applications.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop databases that support analytics and runtime applications
  • Develop web applications for IVR and call center software
  • Integrate databases with stateful IVR applications
  • Develop integrations to components engineered for the cloud
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)
  • Expertise in SQL (MySQL, Aurora DB, Redshift)
  • Experience with NoSQL and RDBMS
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go
  • Shell scripting skills
  • AWS Cloud-based database development experience
  • Familiarity with Flyway, Liquibase, or comparable tools
  • Git version control experience
  • Understanding of CAP and ACID principles
