Job Summary

We're seeking a Geotechnical EIT/Designer to join our team in Pennsylvania and Ohio. As a member of our Water Group, you'll work on geotechnical engineering projects for local and national dams, levees, and civil works projects. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including earthen embankment dams, levees, underseepage mitigation features, and soil and rock slopes.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of a licensed PE to perform geotechnical analysis and design of water infrastructure projects.
  • Review boring logs, laboratory data, and design plans for geotechnical tasks such as slope stability, settlement analysis, construction recommendations, etc.
  • Design shallow and deep foundation systems, including driven piles and drilled shafts.
  • Provide project-specific analysis of liquefaction potential with seismic considerations, slide remediation, ground improvement, and others.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and foundation reports for geotechnical projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers to implement measures to successfully meet all project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Experience with MS Office and software applications.
  • Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical engineering software (GeoStudios, Ensoft, GRLWEAP, gINT).
  • Previous geotechnical-related engineering experience.
