- Expert Clinical Advice: Offer clinical advice by phone or electronic correspondence, utilizing your expertise and judgment to make informed decisions.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with education on preventive care, chronic disease management, acute diagnoses, medications, and other areas relevant to patient outcomes.
- Rooming and Preparation: Greet patients, show them to the exam room, and prepare them for visits with providers.
- Documentation and Medication Management: Accurately document medical and social history, and update current medication lists as needed.
- Administrative Tasks: Authorize prescription refills, assist with test tracking, and remove sutures and change dressings as necessary.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and quality of care.
- Education: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
- Experience: Two to three years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office.
- Certifications: AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Leadership Experience: Previous lead or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
