About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional RN Lead to join our team at Christus Health. As a seasoned nursing professional, you will provide comprehensive care for retired Sisters across all phases of health, emphasizing infection control, safety, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in gerontology, with a minimum of one year of experience in this field. The successful RN Lead will be responsible for delegating care, ensuring the well-being of patients in both acute and chronic situations. They will also interact with various healthcare professionals, utilizing their knowledge of medical records and effective communication skills.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- An Associate degree in nursing, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- The ability to understand medical records, physician orders, and nursing care plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Sisters, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- A minimum of one year of previous gerontology experience is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is also preferred.
- Knowledge of psychotropic drugs in current use and drugs commonly used in geriatric practice.
- Current RN permits or licensure issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners in the State of Texas to practice nursing.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a base salary of $90,000, plus a performance-based bonus of up to 20% annually. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
