Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a Speech Language Pathologist PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by developing and conducting individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to improve patient communication abilities.
  • Evaluate patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed to maximize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress in their chart, including notes, charges, discharge notes, and patient communication.
  • Consult with the Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.
Requirements
  • Masters in Communications Disorders from a Speech Language Pathology Program.
  • Must maintain licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology.
  • Prefer membership in ASHA.
