Alto Health Care Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Cardiology Stepdown Unit. As a Cardiology Stepdown Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those who have undergone cardiovascular surgery.
- Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement education plans to promote patient understanding and self-management of their conditions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- 2 years of experience in a Stepdown Unit in an acute care setting.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Ability to work every other weekend and flexible with holiday rotations.
The Cardiology Stepdown Unit is a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including telemetry monitoring and ventilators. The team is collaborative and supportive, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
