Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed, culturally competent medical care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Manage chronic diseases, including HIV, and provide ongoing care and support to patients living with the virus.
- Conduct clinical encounters, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including referrals to specialists as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including problem lists and medication reconciliation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nursing, social work, and mental health staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Infectious Diseases.
- Valid California medical license.
- Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration and BLS certification.
- AAHIVM certification or ability to become certified within 6 months of employment.
- Strong experience in sexual and reproductive health, including STD diagnosis and treatment, PEP/PrEP, and gender-affirming hormone therapy.
- Ability to conduct medical visits in Spanish.
- Understanding of intersectional issues impacting LGBTQ+ individuals, including racism, sexism, transphobia, and income inequality.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a multicultural environment.
