About the Role

The Arc of Prince George's County is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Person-Centered Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care and support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care: Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, administer medications, and provide therapeutic treatments as needed.
  • Personal Care and Support: Assist individuals with daily living activities, provide training and support to promote independence, and maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Community Participation and Social Life: Encourage and support individuals in participating in community activities, promoting socialization and inclusion.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of individual progress, communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff, and submit required reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN license for the state of Maryland
  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals in a care-giving setting
  • Good driving record, reliable vehicle, and current Maryland Driver's license
  • Ability to lift a person with assistance (two-person lift)
